DURATION: 30 Minutes

Directed X Edited By: Heru Neset

Aloha (Eternal Peace), this Documentary is dedicated to the memory of a great black king named Kamehameha, which means to stand alone, to stand out from others. King Kamehameha was born in 1750 and he died on May 8, 1819. He established a viable spiritual, political, and social civilization that united the islands of Hawai’i. He overcame adversaries at home and abroad and kept his people free during his lifetime. It was not until after his death that European Christian missionaries came to the islands and slowly but surely changed the history, language, values, interests, and principles of these great black Hawai’ians.

The important aspect of this great man’s story with all his accomplishments is for Black people worldwide to study the events that occurred on the Hawai’ian islands and compare them to their own similar stories, to ensure they never happen again. Peace to King Kamehameha, the Black King of Hawai’i.

  • Mahalo (Eternal Thanks) to Heru Neset, the textpert, producer, and director of this documentary on King Kamehameha.
